Buyer Protection & Dispute Resolution Policy

Flat Six Registry encourages safe transactions.

Before Purchasing

Buyers should:

  • inspect the vehicle
  • verify VIN
  • obtain a vehicle history report
  • review maintenance records
  • verify ownership
  • arrange a pre-purchase inspection
  • confirm title status
  • verify identity of the seller
  • use secure payment methods

Buyer Protection

Unless specifically stated for a particular transaction or service, Flat Six Registry does not guarantee:

  • vehicle quality
  • mileage
  • authenticity
  • seller honesty
  • payment recovery
  • shipping
  • successful delivery

The platform facilitates introductions between buyers and sellers and is not responsible for the underlying transaction.

Reporting Fraud

If fraud is suspected:

  • stop communication
  • preserve all evidence
  • report the listing
  • contact law enforcement where appropriate
  • notify Flat Six Registry

We may suspend accounts while investigating.

Disputes

Flat Six Registry may, at its discretion:

  • request documentation from both parties
  • review communications conducted through the platform
  • temporarily suspend accounts during an investigation
  • remove listings that violate our policies
  • restrict or terminate accounts for fraudulent or abusive conduct

We are not obligated to arbitrate or resolve disputes between buyers and sellers, and our review does not constitute a legal determination of fault.

Payment Disputes

Any chargebacks or payment disputes involving third-party payment providers should be handled according to the provider's procedures. Flat Six Registry may cooperate with investigations where appropriate.

Safe Purchasing Tips

We recommend that buyers:

  • meet in a safe, public location when possible
  • use traceable payment methods
  • avoid wire transfers to unknown individuals
  • verify the seller's identity
  • arrange an independent pre-purchase inspection
  • retain copies of all communications and transaction documents

Limitation of Responsibility

Flat Six Registry is not liable for losses resulting from:

  • fraudulent sellers
  • inaccurate vehicle descriptions
  • undisclosed defects
  • failed transactions
  • shipping issues
  • title disputes
  • financing arrangements
  • payment disputes between users

Users are responsible for conducting appropriate due diligence before completing a transaction.
